The VC men's water polo team is looking to having its first .500 season since 2016 and they went a long way toward that winning three of five games last week to close the regular season. Evan Augusta was a main player in the effort to capture the final WSC contest and to split four games at the Día de los Muertos Tournament in Chula Vista. The freshman from Ventura High School scored 13 goals with 11 assists through the week to push the Pirates to a 12-11 overall record on the season.
