The VC women's tennis team dropped a decision to Western State Conference-leading Bakersfield Thursday at the VC Tennis Center. Lola Tennison captured the lone Pirate point in no. 2 singles while Nicole Iannacone and Kira Branson put up a strong fight in their No. 1 doubles loss.
Iannacone and Branson lost in No. 1 doubles 8-5 while Dulce Contreras and Fernanda Gonzales dropped their No. 3 match 8-2. The Renegades continued their strong play with a win in No. 2 doubles to hold a commanding lead heading to singles play.
