Sam McKenzie has had a solid start to her sophomore season for the VC women's basketball team. The Oxnard High School product leads the team with a 14.6 scoring average over the first eight games of the year while grabbing nearly four rebounds per contest. This past weekend at the Buddy's All-Star Classic, McKenzie scored 46 points with 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals in three tournament games at LA Valley. For her efforts, Sam is 2024's final VC Pirate Student Athlete of the Week sponsored by M & M Sports.
