VC men's basketball freshman Jeremiah Wilson had an outstanding week for the Pirates at the Hypland Classic in Riverside. In two games, the Serra High School (Torrance) product averaged 21 points per game while shooting 14-24 from the field, 5-11 from three and 9-10 from the free throw line. He also grabbed 11 rebounds with three assists and four steals in the two contests. On the season, Wilson is averaging 15.4 points and 5.6 boards while shooting 50 percent from the field, 53.4 percent from three and 81.6 percent from the free throw line. For his efforts, Jeremiah has been named this week's VC Pirate Student Athlete of the Week sponsored by M & M Sports.
