The VC men's basketball team is off to a 4-1 start to the season after capturing the title at the Irvine Valley Classic over the weekend. Leading the way has been tournament Most Valuable Player Bo Dolinsek. The freshman from Corona Del Sol high School in Tempe, AZ is averaging a double-double this year at 17.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per outing. In the IVC Classic, Dolinsek scored 33 points in two games, making 11 field goals, including two three's, and shooting 9-12 at the free throw line. He also pulled in 22 rebounds for the Pirates in the victories. For his early season efforts, Bo has been named this week's VC Pirate Student Athlete of the Week sponsored by M & M Sports.
