The Pirate softball team dropped an 8-0 decision to Moorpark Thursday in Western State Conference play at the VC Softball Complex. Savanna Higgins, Chelsea Trejo and Kiara Harrison all recorded hits for Ventura in the setback.
Ventura travels to Bakersfield on Monday April 15 for a make-up game against the Renegades before traveling to Oxnard on Tuesday April 16.
