The Pirate softball team pounded host Victor Valley College 19-1 Saturday afternoon in a five-inning decision in Victorville. Alexis White had seven strike outs while giving up just one hit and one run in the game. Brittany Perez led the 19-hit attack, hitting 4-4 with a home run and three RBI.
Gabriella Ramos went 3-3 with a home run and two RBI while Lindsey Dietz was 3-3, including a double, with a pair of runs batted in. Yamilex Ruiz was 3-4 with two RBI and Farris Burke had two doubles and batted in three runs. Carly Camarillo produced a double with three RBI.
VC (5-9) will travel to San Bernardino Valley on Tuesday Feb. 24 before hosting LA Mission College on Thursday Feb. 26. First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 2:30 pm at the VC Softball Complex.
