The Ventura College men's swim team finished in the Top-10 in the state for the 19th consecutive year on Saturday. Leading the way was sophomore Austin Hammond whose seventh place finish in the 200-yard butterfly was the best individual finish for the weekend for VC. The Rio Mesa High School product turned in a 1:54.99 time in the event, and also earned team points in the 400-yard individual medley. Hammond was also on three relays that placed in the meet, the 200-yard, 800-yard and 400-yard freestyle relays. Austin has been named this week's VC Pirate Student Athlete of the Week proudly sponsored by Snapper Jack's Taco Shack.
