The VC men's golf team posted a team score of 405 Monday, placing sixth at the Western State Conference match at Alisal Ranch Golf Course in Solvang, hosted by Santa Barbara. Logan Gonzalez posted the low score for the Pirates with a 5-over 77 followed by Daniel Darwin with a 78. Canyons remained in the top spot in the conference winning the match, which was rescheduled from Feb. 19.
Other Ventura scores included Ian Chapital's 81, an 84 from Hunter McCoy, AJ Ryland with an 85 and Brandon Flores with an 86.
The Pirates will look to get back on track at the WSC event hosted by Citrus College in San Dimas on Monday April 15.
