The 5-foot-3 point guard from Centennial High in Bakersfield led the 31-3 Pirates to a record seventh California state championship, Voted Western State Conference Player of the Year as a freshman. Ran offense that led state in scoring (82.6 ppg) , field goal percentage (48.1), 3-point percentage (40.7) and assist-to-turnover ratio. Led state in assists and assist-to-turnover ratio. Averaged 16.9 points per game and shot 41.6 percent from 3. Broke the 18-year-old school record for assists in a game (17). Broke the 29-year-old records for most assists in a season (269) and career (457). Had 26 points and eight assists in state semifinal win over Fresno City on Friday and 22 points, six rebounds and five assists in Sunday's state final win over Mount San Antonio.
