VC Posts Low Score of the Season at Rancho Vista
April 07, 2025The VC golf team posted its lowest score of the year, a combined 8-over 368, Monday at Rancho Vista Golf Club in Palmdale. The mark was good for a second place finish in the Western State Conference No. 7 match. Logan Gonzalez was the low man for the Pirates with an outstanding 1-under 71 on the day, tying for third overall. -
VC Golf Runner-Up at WSC Event at Crystalaire CC
March 17, 2025The Pirate golf team produced a runner-up finishat the Western State Conference neutral site match at Crystalaire Country Club in Llano Monday. VC posted a team score of 393 for their second place finish, led by 4-under 76's from Mathew Fisher and Logan Gonzalez. The pair sinished in a tie for third individually.

VC Golf Second at WSC-Bakersfield
March 10, 2025The VC golf team posted a team score of 381 to finish second at the fifth Western State Conference event hosted by Bakersfield at Rio Bravo Golf Club. Nick Bublitz and Logan Gonzalez each carded 3-over 75's to lead the Pirate effort.

Ventura Takes WSC #4 at Allan Hancock
March 03, 2025The VC golf team posted a score of 378 Monday at the Santa Maria Country Club to win the Western State Conference No. 4 event hosted by Allan Hancock. VC defeated second place Canyons by four strokes on the day and Santa Barbara was third, nine strokes back. Dan Darwin, Matthew Fisher and Ian Chapital all carded a 3-over 75 to lead the way in the victory.

VC Golf Places Second at Riverside Invite
February 24, 2025The VC golf team continued their strong campaign with a second place finish out of 16 teams at the Riverside Invitational. The Pirates posted a team score of 379, one shot behind Santa Barbara and one shot ahead of Reedley in the competitive contest. For the second time in three weeks, Nick Bublitz went low for Ventura, carding a 4-under 68 to claim medalist honors.

VC Golf Second, Darwin Medalist at WSC #3
February 17, 2025For the second straight week a Pirate golfer was the medalist at a Western State Conference event. Daniel Darwin shot a 4-under 68 on Monday to claim the top spot on the leaderboard at the WSC No. 3 at Alisal Ranch Country Club in Solvang in the event hosted by Santa Barbara. Matthew Fisher carded a 1-under 71 to tie for second and Ventura posted an overall score of 374, two shots off the lead set by Canyons in the team competition.

Bublitz First, VC Golf Places Third at River Ridge
February 10, 2025Pirate sophomore Nick Bublitz earned individual medalist honors and the VC golf team posted a team score of 385 to finish third at the Western State Conference No. 2 at Oxnard's River Ridge Victoria Lakes Golf Course. bublitz shot an outstanding 3-under 69 to place first in the eight-team event while Logan Gonzalez and Brandon Flores each carded 5-over 77's to place in a tie for 13th for Ventura.

VC Golf Places Second in Conference Opener at Glendale
February 03, 2025The VC golf team had a strong showing Monday in the Western State Conference opener hosted by Glendale. Ventrua posted a combined team score of 386, good for second place overall, seven strokes off the pace. Nick Bublitz shot a very good even par 72 to tie for second individually while Logan Gonzalez carded a 76 to tie for sixth. Daniel Darwin and Matthew Fisher also finished in the Top-10 each with a 6-over 78.

Golf Opens Season 2nd at Pt. Conception Open
January 27, 2025The VC golf team opened the 2025 season at the two-day, 36-hole Pt. Conception Open at La Purisma Golf Club in Lompoc Sunday and Monday. The Pirates totaled a team score of 406/402, 808 to claim second place of the 13 competing teams with Logan Gonzalez posting a 75/79, 154 to tie for fourth place overall with his 3-over score in difficult conditions on Sunday placing him first individually in the opening round. Nick Bublitz also earned a Top-10 finish with his 79/79, 158.
