
The Ventura College golf team finished second for the second straight week after posting a combined score of 385 at the Western State Conference No. 3 hosted by Santa Barbara at Alisal Ranch Golf Course Monday. Evan Colborn led the way with a 1-over 73, good for a tie for second overall. Nicholas Burns and Steen Zeman each carded a 3-over 75 for the Pirates.
VC finished 12 strokes behind first place Canyons, who posted a score of 373. Glendale was third at 386 followed by Santa Barbara (403) and Bakersfield (408).
Other Ventura golfers competing on Monday at the course in Solvang included Zack Garboski (80), Jonas Slattum (82) and Nicolai Cascione (85).
Ventura next travels to the Riverside Invitational on Monday Feb. 28.
