VC Golfers Finish Eighth at the SoCal RegionalsMay 09, 2016Teeing it up at the SoCal Regionals the Ventura College men's golf team started out with a solid opening team round in the first 18 holes sitting in fifth place, but they were unable to maintain their momentum over the final 18 holes falling to eighth place on the day. VC shot a team total of 391 over the first 18 holes topped by Nick Bublitz with a round of 75. In the final 18 holes of the day VC put together a team round of 406 topped by Matt Sieger with a round of 76.

VC Golf Qualifies for Southern California RegionalsApril 25, 2016In the 36 hole Western State Conference Finals the Ventura College men's golf team picked the right time to have their best team finishes of the season. Needing to finish in the top three on the day to earn a berth in the Southern California Regionals, the Pirates finished third in the first 18 holes and then fired a first place team round over the final 18 holes. Brandon Resnick, Nick Bublitz and Kyle Dollison each fired a pair of rounds in the 70's for the Pirates.

Golf Finishes Top Three at WSC-NeutralApril 18, 2016The Ventura College men's golf team took part in the final regular season Western State Conference match of the year at Bear Creek Golf Club and took home another top three finish. VC shot a team total of 397 good for third place on the day behind College of the Canyons and Santa Barbara City. Brandon Resnick was the top scorer for the Pirates with a four over 76 for the day.

Pirates Golf Finishes in Third Place at OakmontApril 11, 2016The Ventura College men's golf team brought home another top three finish in Western State Conference match play with a third place finish at WSC-Glendale. The Pirates struggled to score low on the day, but Kyle Dollison did fire a team low of 77 on the day as the lone VC golfer to score in the 70's.

Golf Finished in Second in Santa MariaApril 04, 2016Traveling to Santa Maria for the Western State Conference Santa Maria match, the Ventura College men's team finished with a team 374 and a second place finish. VC was topped by Nick Bublitz who was a match medalist at two under par 70. Five of the Pirates six golfers finished with rounds of 77 or lower.

Pirate Golfers Team up to Bring Home Third PlaceMarch 28, 2016The Ventura College men's golf team battled through windy conditions for a third place finish at Western State Conference Citrus match. The Pirates came in with a team total of 386, 12 strokes behind the first place team. Kyle Dollison was the Pirates low scorer for the round with a two over round of 74.

Windy Conditions Make for Wild Day on the CourseMarch 21, 2016The Ventura College men golf team traveled to the high desert for the WSC-Antelope Valley contest hosted at Antelope Valley Country Club. Despite the 35 mile an hour gusts making for difficult play the Pirates were able to bring home a second place finish. Ventura was topped by Emil Ozeki who fired a team low 78 in the windy conditions.

Golf Fifth at Desert Invitational Out of 19 TeamsMarch 14, 2016Ventura College men's golf team traveled to Palm Springs to take part in the Desert Invitational at Desert Island Country Club. On the strength of a Matt Sieger round of 74 and Kyle Dollison with an identical 74 the Pirates were able to bring home a fifth place finish. Austin Kratochvil fired a 76 to go with Brandon Resnick who finished with a 76 also.

Golf Finishes Second in Rain Shortened Pt. Conception InvitationalMarch 06, 2016Traveling to the California central coast for an originally scheduled two day invitational the Ventura College golf team brought home a second place finish in a rain shortened one day event. As a team the Pirates finished with a total score of 384 just three shots behind first place Santa Barbara City at 381. Kyle Dollison finished with a team low of 71 for his round.

Pirates Golfers Finish Third at WSC-VenturaFebruary 29, 2016Hosting the fourth round of Western State Conference play the Ventura College golf team finished in third place out of eight teams. This is the Pirates fourth top three finish at a WSC event this season. They were topped by Brandon Resnick who fired an even par 72 good for fifth place on the day.

Pirate Golfers Play to a Second Place Finish in BakersfieldFebruary 22, 2016The Ventura College golf team traveled to Bakersfield for the third round of Western State Conference play and finished in second place just one stroke behind the winner Santa Barbara City College. Matt Sieger fired a two over par 73 good for second overall on the day and tops for the Pirates. VC saw Kyle Dollison put up a four over par 76 which was good for a seventh place tie.

Pirates Golf Finishes in Third Place in WSC-Santa BarbaraFebruary 15, 2016The Ventura College golf team took to the road to play at Alisal Ranch golf club in Santa Barbara, Ca and brought home a third place finish. The Pirates finished by College of the Canyons and Santa Barbara City College with a team score of 381. Austin Krathocvil finished his round with a two under par 70 which was the second best round of the day for any competitor. Brandon Resnick shot a two over 74 for a seventh place finish.

Pirates Golf Team Claims Second Place at CanyonsFebruary 08, 2016Ventura College men's golf team took to the course at Valencia Country Club on a warm windy day and brought home a second place finish. The Pirates as a team shot a 403 and finished behind College of the Canyons in second place. Emil Ozeki topped the Ventura score sheet with a two over par 74 for the day.

Men's Golf Opens Their Season With Third Place Showing in Bakersfield.January 25, 2016The Ventura College men's golf team began their 2016 season on the road at the Bakersfield Invitational held at Seven Oaks Country Club. With seven teams competing in the invitational the Pirates placed third with a team total of 324. Brandon Resnick and Kyle Dollison paired up to fire a four under par 104.
