The Ventura College men's golf team took part in the final regular season Western State Conference match of the year at Bear Creek Golf Club and took home another top three finish. VC shot a team total of 397 good for third place on the day behind College of the Canyons and Santa Barbara City. Brandon Resnick was the top scorer for the Pirates with a four over 76 for the day.
Ventura finished either second or third in each of the WSC matches on the regular season entering the WSC-Neutral site match and finished the regulars season with another top three finish. Resnick was one of two Pirates to fire a round in 70's with teammate Nick Bublitz firing a five over 77 to finish just behind Resnick.
Austin Kratochvil and Emil Ozeke completed the day with rounds in the low 80's. Kratochvil fired a eight over round of 80, while Ozeke was just behind him with a nine over round of 81. These four topped the Pirates rounds of the day. Two more VC golfers were able to shoot in the 80's to help Ventura to their third place finish.
VC will return to the course on Monday Apr. 25 when they travel to Bakersfield to take part in the WSC Finals. The tournament will be hosted at Rio Bravo Country Club. The day is set to begin with a 7:00 am tee time. This will be the final WSC event of the year for the Pirates.
