Traveling to Santa Maria for the Western State Conference Santa Maria match, the Ventura College men's team finished with a team 374 and a second place finish. VC was topped by Nick Bublitz who was a match medalist at two under par 70. Five of the Pirates six golfers finished with rounds of 77 or lower.
VC had a strong performance to back up what has been a strong season for the Pirates men's golf team. Sitting in second place in the WSC entering the day Ventura maintained their standing with five golfers firing rounds under 80. Kyle Dollison finished with a 75 to back up Bublitz. Austin Krachtovil and Emil Ozeke each finished with a round 76. Finally, Alex Hood fired a round of 77 to help the Pirates to their second place finish.
Ventura hits the links for the WSC-Glendale match on Monday Apr. 11 for a 10:00 am tee off. The match will be contested at Oakmont Country Club.
