Women's Polo Clinches Third Place Finish in WSC Tournament
November 07, 2015Ventura College women's water polo team matched up with Cuesta College for third place in the Western State Conference tournament and picked up a hard fought 11-9 victory. Paige Treloar-Ballard starred for the Pirates on offense with four goals and three assists. Lauren Wiksell added two goals and an assist. Miranda Campos had five saves in the victory. -
Women's Polo Split Games at WSC Tournament
November 06, 2015On the first day of the Western State Conference Tournament in Valley Glen, Ventura College women's water polo team split two games. In the quarterfinal round, the Pirates downed Citrus 8-6 before falling to Los Angeles Valley 10-8 in the conference semifinals. Lauren Wiksell netted five goals on the day with Paige Treloar-Ballard adding four goals. -
Women's Polo Drops Close Conference Game at Santa Barbara
October 28, 2015Traveling to Santa Barbara City College for a match up with second place Vaqueros, the Ventura College women's water polo team held the advantage heading into fourth quarter before eventually falling 9-7. Elizabeth Seacord scored three goals for the Pirates attack in the defeat while adding three steals and an assist. -
Women's Polo 1-1 to Conclude Battle at the Beach
October 24, 2015In the final day of the Battle at the Beach Tournament hosted at Cypress College, the Ventura College women's water polo team split their two games. Opening the day against Mt. San Antonio College, the Pirates dropped an 11-3 decision before rebounding in their final game of the weekend with an 11-6 victory over Orange Coast. Goalkeeper Anjali Paramanandam collected 18 saves on the day while Lauren Wiksell netted three goals. -
Women's Polo Splits a Pair of Games at Battle at the Beach
October 23, 2015Traveling to Cypress College on Friday afternoon Ventura women's water polo picked up a split for the day. In their opener the PIrates dropped a 15-8 decision versus Delta College. Responding in the second game to take down Cuesta College 12-8. Lauren Wiksell scored six goals on the day with four assists. Goalkeeper Anjali Paramanandam picked up 13 saves in two games. -
Pirates Drop Close Decision at LA Valley
October 14, 2015Ventura College women's water polo traveled to Los Angeles Valley College on Wednesday dropping a tightly played 9-8 game. VC had three players score multiple goals led by Lauren Wiksell with three goals. Paige Treloar-Ballard and Maeve Flynn each scored two goals. Goalie Miranda Campos added eight saves. -
Pirates Dominant in Two Wins Saturday
October 10, 2015The VC women's water polo team returned to the Ventura Aquatic Center on Saturday for a pair of games, producing two dominant efforts to close the Ventura Tournament. In game one VC defeated San Diego Miramar 18-5. In their second game, the Pirates ran away from El Camino for a 13-3 victory. Paige Treloar-Ballard netted seven goals with Kalyn Pina adding five scores on the day. -
Women's Polo 1-1 on First Day of Ventura Tournament
October 09, 2015The women's water polo split their first two games of the Ventura Tournament Friday at the Ventura Aquatic Center. The Pirates lost a Western State Conference match to Cuesta 12-10 in the opener before defeating Chaffey 8-4 in the nightcap. Maeve Flynn led the way with five goals, five steals and three drawn exclusions in the two contests. -

October 07, 2015The VC women's water polo team jumped out to a 9-4 halftime lead over visiting Santa Monica en route to a 17-6 victory Wednesday at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Paige Treloar-Ballard led the way with five goals, one assist, two drawn exclusions and two steals. -
Treloar-Ballard Leads VC to Two Big Wins in San Diego
October 03, 2015VC utility player Paige Treloar-Ballard was unstoppable Saturday, leading Ventura to a pair of big wins at the San Diego Tournament at Miramar College. The freshman from Foothill high School scored 11 goals with nine steals, five drawn exclusions and an assist in the Pirates' 9-6 win over Cerritos and come-from-behind 10-9 victory over Sierra. -
Women's Water Polo 1-1 at Miramar Tournament
October 02, 2015The Pirates' women's water polo team went 1-1 in a pair of games to begin the San Diego Tournament at Miramar College Friday. VC fell to Palomar 14-8 in the opener before defeating East Los Angeles 15-3 in the second match of the day. Paige Treloar-Ballard scored five goals in the two games with two assists and three steals and Brittany Camp had three goals, an assist and two steals. -
Women's Polo Falls in Close Match at Citrus
September 30, 2015The VC women's water polo team dropped their first conference loss of the season, a hard-fought 9-8 decision at Citrus College Wednesday. Freshman Elizabeth Seacord had five steals defensively to go along with a goal and an assist to lead the Pirates, who gave up the deciding goal with 48 seconds remaining in the game. -
Pirates Win Big Over Bulldogs
September 23, 2015For the second straight conference outing, the Ventura College women's water polo team pulled away early en route to a big win. Wednesday afternoon VC scored the first seven goals of the game in their 14-4 victory over the Allan Hancock Bulldogs at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Paige Treloar-Ballard had four goals to lead the Pirates. -
Women's Water Polo 1-1 on Final Day of Chaffey Tournament
September 19, 2015The VC women's water polo team put together three solid halves of play in two games Saturday, resulting in a 1-1 record on the final day of the Chaffey Tournament in Rancho Cucamonga. The Pirates played with highly-ranked Riverside for a half before falling 15-7 to the Tigers, then easily defeated East Los Angeles 15-3 in the tournament finale. -

September 18, 2015The Pirates' women's water polo team defeated the host Chaffey Panthers before falling to Fresno City College on Day one of the Chaffey Tournament in Rancho Cucamonga Friday. VC defeated the Panthers 11-3 in the opener before falling to the Rams 12-9. -
Women's Polo Opens Conference Play With Big Win
September 16, 2015It did not take long for the VC women's water polo team to establish themselves in their Western State Conference opener against Los Angeles Pierce College Wednesday afternoon. The Pirates jumped out to a 4-0 lead in just over two minutes of play en route to their 19-3 victory over the Brahmas at the Ventura Aquatic Center. -
Women's Polo Splits Pair at Central Coast Invitational
September 12, 2015The Ventura College women's water polo team traveled to San Luis Obispo Saturday, playing a pair of games in the Central Coast Invitational at Cuesta College. VC lost to Diablo Valley College 12-7 before defeating Sierra College 14-9. Paige Treloar-Ballard continued her solid play with nine goals while Anjali Paramanandam did a solid job filling in a goalie with 20 saves in the two games.. -
Women's Water Polo Splits Opening Day at Cypress
September 05, 2015The Pirates' women's water polo team split a pair of games to open the 2015 season at the Cypress Charger Invitational Saturday. VC lost to Long Beach 11-7 in the opener before coming back to defeat host Cypress 10-9 in overtime in the nightcap. Paige Treloar-Ballard had 12 goals in the two contests for VC.
