The Pirates golf team fell back to fifth place this week at the Western State Conference event at the par-72 San Dimas Canyon Golf Club Monday, shooting right on their season average of 390 as a team. Greg Brown carded a 2-over 74 to lead VC, who remains in third place in the conference standings through seven events.
Santa Barbara won the tournament with a 362, followed by Citrus (376), Canyons (377), Glendale (384) and Ventura.
Other Pirate scores included Emil Ozeke (76), Alex Hood (79), Patrick Holden (80), Matthew Thomas (81) and Remy Smaby (85).
Ventura will travel to Oakmont Country Club on Monday April 13 in the WSC tournament hosted by Glendale College. They play at Olivas Links Golf Course on Monday April 20.
