VC freshman Trevor Campbell earned first team All-Western State Conference in voting by the conference coaches following the season last month. The Agoura High School product missed a quarter of the season due to a nose injury, but worked hard to get back in shape upon his return to the pool, and was a crucial player for the Pirates. He was joined by second team All-WSC honorees, sophomores Tanner Islander and Frank Lopez.
Campbell was a crucial player for the Pirates' tactical dynamic on both offensively and defensively and was a positive leader in the group. Islander, from Half Moon Bay, CA, led the team in scoring on the season with 29 goals in 18 games and Lopez, a Santa Maria High School grad, was a strong multidimensional player for VC.
