
With their fourth sweep in six matches, the VC men's tennis team remained unbeaten Tuesday with a 9-0 victory at Los Angeles Pierce College in Woodland Hills. Rafael Dunan had the biggest victory with a one and love triumph at No. 5 singles while Alexander Martin prevailed 6-1, 6-1 in No. 6 singles. The doubles team of Rodrigo Perdigao and Manu Rowe won at the No. 3 slot, 8-1 for the Pirates (6-0, 3-0).
Solal Cherqui was victorious in No. 1 singles, 7-6, 6-1, while Adrien Etiemble won in No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-2. Priyank Soni took three sets to win at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2, and Augustin Lestelle also went the distance in No. 4 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 6-0.
In doubles, Soni and Etiemble won in the No. 1 slot, 8-2, while Cherqui and Dunan won at No. 2, 8-6.
The Pirates continue Western State Conference play on Thursday Feb. 22 at Bakersfield College.
