
The Pirate volleyball team made it eight straight victories Friday night, and 12 wins in the last 13 matches, defeating Glendale on the road with a tight 25-23, 29-27, 25-23 decision. Morgan Gallagher and Brooklyn Wallet led the offensive attack with nine kills each while Vanessa Ihrke had eight winners. Faith Mackie was key on the back line once again with 29 digs and Kelly Rodriguez recorded 14 digs for the Pirates (13-3, 4-0).
Ventura completes its non-conference schedule on Wednesday Oct. 24 with a home date against West Los Angeles. The match is set to begin at 7:00 pm at the Athletic Event Center.
