The Pirate volleyball team had one of its best weeks in years, sweeping SoCal No. 10 Pierce College and Allan Hancock College. One of the big reasons was the play of Tori Hiott. The 5-foot-9 freshman from Thousand Oaks recorded 14 kills in the two matches with an outstanding .233 hitting percentage. She had five aces and just one service error in 33 attempts. Her 18 digs (as an outside hitter) was second-highest on the team for the week. Tori has been named this week's VC Pirate Student Athlete of the Week sponsored by Pacific Aire Heating and Cooling.
