The VC golf team traveled to Orange County Monday to compete in the Saddleback Invitational at the par-72 Tijeras Creek Golf Club. Steen Zeman was the low man for the Pirates with a 2-over 74, good for a tie for fourth place overall as Ventura posted a team score of 406, placing sixth of the eight participating teams.
Kaden Santos came in with a 5-over 77 on the day while Joshua Calderon (83), Eric Burschinger (85), Kyle Okuhara (87) and Aaron Friedland (97) rounded out the Ventura scores.
The Pirates close the season with the Western State Conference Championships on Wednesday May 26 at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura.
