With limited competition in the Western State Conference in this Covid-shortened 2021 season, the VC golf team traveled to Riverside on Monday to play in the Riverside Invitational featuring Eight Orange Empire Conference teams. The Pirates posted a score of 398, good for sixth place overall in the event. Evan Colborn shot a 2-over 74 at Canyon Crest Country Club to place in a tie for ninth place overall.
Kaden Santos turned in a 6-over 78, good for second on the team while Aaron Friedland shot an 81. Quinn Badner carded an 82 and Eric Burschinger had an 83. Kyle Okuhara posted an 88 for the Pirates.
Ventura next hosts a Western State Conference event on Wednesday May 19 at Olivas Links Golf Course.
