VC's Allison Harris qualified for the CCCAA State Championships in the 1m and 3m diving and Lauren Pierce punched her ticket to state in the 1m competition at the Western State Conference and SoCal Diving Championships at El Camino College in Torrance Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile, Mattia Braccini claimed first place in the WSC diving championships in the 3m event. Both the WSC and SoCal competitions were held simultaneously.
Harris claimed silver medals in the WSC's 1m diving event Friday and in the 3m event on Saturday. In the regional competition, she came in fifth and eighth, respectively, qualifying for the CCCAA State Championships.
Pierce finished third in the conference competition in both events, claiming seventh in 1m event in the the regionals on Friday to qualify for state. She was also 11th in SoCal in the 3m competition.

Stefanie Covarrubias and Analee Magana finished fifth and eighth, respectively in the WSC's 1m event on Friday and Covarrubias came in fourth in the 3m competition on Saturday.
On Friday, Braccini claimed gold in the conference competition in 3m diving with a score of 111.40 over six dives. Michael Andrews finished fifth and Janson Cunningham was sixth in the WSC. The trio came in 10th, 14th and 15th, respectively in the regional competition.

Cunningham claimed silver in the 1m WSC event Saturday followed by Braccini in fourth and Andrews in fifth. They finished 12th, 15th and 18th, respectively in the SoCal competition.
The Pirates travel to San Luis Obispo on Thursday, Friday and Saturday April 21-23 for the WSC Championships at Cuesta College.
