Alison English enters her first season with the Ventura College swim teams in 2016. Alison was born and raised in Ventura, having graduated from Foothill Technology High School in 2011. She began competitive swimming in high school with the Buenaventura Swim Club. Later swam all four years at UC Santa Cruz, where she earned a Bachelors degree in molecular, cell and developmental biology. During her time at UCSC, she was voted MVP in 2011-14-15 seasons and served as team captain in 2015. Alison has also participated as a national team member for modern pentathlong and represented the US at Junior World Championships and various World Cup events. In addition to her training, Allison is currently applying to graduate school to earn a Masters in Public Health and Physician Assistant Studies. In her spare time, Alison enjoys playing with her dogs and horses or spending time at the beach.
