Dylan Roberts and Alisha Greenlaw each earned All-American Honors at the CCCAA State Track and Field Championships in San Mateo. Roberts came in eighth in the triple jump while Greenlaw bested her own school record with an eighth place finish in the 100m hurdles.
Alisha Greenlaw and Dylan Roberts both qualified for the CCCAA State Track and Field Championships in competition Saturday at the SoCal Regional Finals in Cerritos. Greenlaw ran her second fastest time ever in the 100m hurdles and Roberst qualified in both the triple jump to come in fourth, and long jump events.

VC sophomore Emily Stephenson led a host of SoCal regional qualifiers for the Pirates' women's track and field team at the Western State Conference Championships Friday in Santa Barbara. She shattered her lifetime best in winning gold in the conference. Meanwhile, Dylan Roberts placed second in the triple jump to become the only regional qualifier from the VC men's team.
The Pirate track and field teams hosted the Western State Conference Prelims Firday at the VC Sportsplex, highlighted by Dylan Roberts' win in the long jump. Brittany McWaid and Emily Stephenson also qualified for the SoCal Regionals while a host of Pirates qualified for next week's WSC Finals in Santa Barbara.
Competing in the Western State Conference Coastal Meet in San Luis Obispo, the VC women placed second of five and the men third of four teams on Friday afternoon. Fresh off her record-setting performance a week ago, Alisha Greenlaw won three events and finished second in another to lead the women while Dylan Roberts led the men with a pair of golds.
The Ventura Track and field team hit the road March 20th with throwers competing in the Santa Barbara Easter Relays while the bulk of the team traveled to Lancaster for the Antelope Valley Invitational. Freshman Alisha Greenlaw highlighted the day with a record-breaking performance in the 100 meter hurdles, breaking a 34-year old school record in the process.
The Occidental College Distance Carnival has always been a meet where the Pirate middle and long distance runners get an opportunity to focus on their events only. The meet did not disappoint as Ventura College runners recorded 13 seasonal bests with six of the marks resulting in personal records.
The Ventura College men's and women's track team made their third trip to Bakersfield College a productive one at the Bakersfield Relays Saturday afternoon. Highlighted by Montre Lee's triple gold medal performance, the Pirates collected a total of 21 medals, as both teams finished second in team standings.
Freshman Alisha Greenlaw and Sophomore Emily Stephenson picked up where they left off a week ago, winning their respective events for the second week in a row Friday at the 2015 Western State Conference Relays at the VC Sportsplex. Greenlaw won the 100 meter hurdles while Stephenson took first in the triple jump for the second straight week.
The Ventura College men's and women's track and field teams opened their 2015 season with a trip to Bakersfield competing in the Battle of the Regions hosted by Bakersfield College. The men's team placed sixth while the women grabbed the fifth spot out of the 11 teams entered.
