VC Soccer to Celebrate 20th Anniversary With Alumnae GameMarch 06, 2016Ventura College women's intercollegiate soccer program will hold its first alumnae game and barbeque to celebrate the program's 20th anniversary on Friday March 11. On this date, the current Pirates will kick-off their non-traditional season with a scrimmage against the alumnae at the Ventura College Sportsplex, with players meeting at 5:00 pm and the game beginning at 6:15 pm. On March 11, the current Lady Pirates team will play against our alumni at the Ventura College Sports Plex; players meet at 5:00 p.m., the game kicks off at 6:15 p.m.

Pirates Soccer Drops Final Match of the Season.November 13, 2015Ventura College women's soccer team dropped their regular season finale 2-1 to Santa Barbara City College. Kat Jordan scored the lone Pirate goal of the game while Josselyne Pereda assisted on the goal. Ventura goal keeper Amy Neidiffer collected five saves in the defeat.

Women's Soccer Drops Low-Scoring Contest.November 10, 2015Returning home for the first time in over a week Ventura College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision against Los Angeles Pierce College. Goalkeeper Amy Neidiffer picked up five saves in the game. The Pirate defense excelled in keeping the Pirates in the game.

Pirate Soccer Defeats Rival OxnardNovember 06, 2015Traveling to Oxnard College, the Pirates' women's soccer team defeated the Condors 4-1 Friday afternoon. In the victory Megan Henderson netted a hat trick with all her goals in the first 26 minutes of play. Josselyne Pereda put home the other Pirate goal of the match. VC took both matches against the Condors this season.

Pirates Soccer Shutout Cuesta for Road VictoryNovember 03, 2015The Ventura College women's soccer team took down Cuesta College 3-0 in San Luis Obispo Tuesday afternoon. The Pirates were paced offensively by Megan Henderson who netted a pair of goals. Josselyne Pereda scored the other goal for the Pirates. Goalkeeper Amy Neidiffer collected six saves in the shutout victory.

PIrates Drop Close Match Against RaidersOctober 30, 2015Playing host to cross-county rival Moorpark College, the Ventura College women's soccer team dropped a closely played match, 2-1 at the VC Sportsplex. Adrina Palacios netted the Pirates lone goal of the night. Goalkeeper Amy Neidiffer picked up three saves in the match.

Women's Soccer Drops Close Match at Santa BarbaraOctober 20, 2015Traveling to La Playa Stadium, Ventura College Women's soccer dropped a 2-0 decision versus Santa Barbara City College. Goalkeeper Amy Neidiffer collected four saves in the loss. Forward Jennifer Orozco and Midfielder Megan Henderson helped a Pirate attack which had 11 shots and three on goal.

Pirates Drop Close Game to Brahamas on the RoadOctober 16, 2015Traveling to Woodland Hills for a game against Los Angeles Pierce College, Ventura College women's soccer dropped a hard fought 2-0 game. VC outshot Pierce by a total of eight to four, but were unable to net any goals in the game. Goalkeeper Amy Neidiffer picked up two saves for the Pirates.

Pirates Take Down Condors for Second Straight Shutout VictoryOctober 13, 2015Hosting rival Oxnard College on Tuesday evening Ventura College collected their second straight shutout victory 3-0. Rae Ritchie netted a pair of goals for the Pirates. Megan Henderson assisted on two VC goals. Amy Neidiffer picked up four saves in her second shutout win of the year.

Pirates Take Out Frustration on Cougars with Shutout VictoryOctober 09, 2015After a string of tough one goal losses, the Ventura College women's soccer team unleashed an offensive onslaught with a 5-0 victory over visiting Cuesta on Friday afternoon. Jennifer Orozco netted a pair of goals and added two assists to lead the Pirates offensive attack while Jennifer Magana added a goal and an assist.

Soccer Falls to Late Goal at MoorparkOctober 06, 2015In their Western State Conference opener, the Pirate soccer team fought another good fight, only to fall victim to another late goal. VC traveled to Moorpark on Tuesday afternoon, falling to the Raiders 3-2. Megan Henderson scored both goals for Ventura in the match.

Soccer Drops Close Game at No.3-ranked FresnoOctober 03, 2015The Pirate soccer team had a strong effort against the No. 3-ranked team in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, but fell by a 2-1 score Saturday afternoon at Fresno City College. Kat Jordan scored the Pirates' lone goal unassisted.

Pirates Continue Hard Luck Upon Return HomeOctober 01, 2015Playing at home for the first time in a month, the hard luck continued for the Ventura College women's soccer team. They produced 90-plus minutes of solid effort, but could not find a way to break through in a 2-1 loss to unbeaten Rio Hondo College Thursday evening at the VC Sportsplex. Josselyne Pereda scored in the 21st minute for the Pirates, but they could not find the equalizer in the loss.

Pirate Soccer Falls at No. 1-Ranked CerritosSeptember 26, 2015Despite a valiant effort in which the outcome of the game was in question for 88 minutes, the Pirates' women's soccer team fell at No. 1-ranked Cerritos College 4-1 Saturday evening in Norwalk. Rae Ritchie gave the Pirates a 1-0 advantage with an early goal, but Ventura could not make it hold up in the loss.

Soccer Drops Close Match at East Los AngelesSeptember 22, 2015Despite a pair of goals from freshman forward Melissa Aldrete, the Pirate soccer team dropped another close decision, 3-2 at East Los Angeles College Tuesday afternoon. Ventura , playing on the road for the fifth straight game, fell behind early and was never able to overtake the Huskies.

Pirate Soccer Salvages Tie at Bakersfield with Late GoalSeptember 18, 2015Karen Medina converted an assist from Jennifer Orozco in the 89th minute to help the Pirates salvage a 2-2 tie at Bakersfield College Friday night. Orozco also scored the first goal of the game off of a cross by Kat Jordan in the 24th minute.

Pirates Run Into Two Storms at Santiago CanyonSeptember 09, 2015After a lightening storm delayed the match in Orange County, the Pirate soccer team ran into another storm in the form of the Santiago Canyon Hawks, falling 7-1 in a non-conference match. Megan Henderson scored the only goal for VC, unassisted in the 40th minute.

Pirates Drop Road Trip Finale at Evergreen ValleySeptember 05, 2015The Pirate soccer team had an unfortunate result Saturday to close their Northern California road trip, dropping a 1-0 decision at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose. The lone score of the day came from an own-goal by the Pirates in the fourth minute of the contest.

Soccer Draws With Sierra to Conclude Nike ClassicAugust 29, 2015The improvement from game one to game two was noticeable for the Pirate soccer team Saturday afternoon, but they were unable to punch in a score, settling for a 0-0 draw with visiting Sierra College to conclude the Nike Soccer Community College Classic at the Sportsplex. The Pirates managed just four shots on the day while goalie Amy Neidiffer recorded three saves in her first career shutout for VC.

Pirate Soccer Opens With Tough 1-0 LossAugust 27, 2015On a warm, humid, late summer night, the Pirate soccer team ushered in the fall sports season with a 1-0 loss to City College of San Francisco in the Nike Soccer Community College Classic Thursday night at the VC Sportsplex. The Rams, ranked No. 19 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America preseason poll scored in the 55th minute of the match to defeat No. 17 Ventura.
