MEN'S WATER POLO: The VC men's water polo team wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Western State Conference Tournament with a 13-6 victory at Los Angeles Valley College Wednesday in Valley Glen. Joe Yamamoto led the Pirates (12-12, 3-1) with four goals while Rodrigo Siracusa, Rogelio Coronado and Nick Miranda all netted two goals each. Tyler Remnant, Hunter Shevitt, and Jimmy Ewald also found the back of the net for VC while Sean McGee captured eight saves.
The Pirates will play their final home matches of the season on Friday Nov. 1 in the Ventura Mini. they will take on Mt. San Antonio at 3:00 pm before hosting Fullerton at 7:30 pm at the Ventura Aquatic Center. VC will play in the WSC Tournament in Santa Monica on Nov. 8-9.
