Pirates Compete at Orange Coast Tourney
The VC women's water polo team competed at the Orange Coast Tournament over the weekend. Playing against Fullerton, Riverside, Long Beach and Saddleback, Julia Glukhovsky scored 14 goals in the four games and Stevie Sturges led the defense with six steals.

The VC women's water polo team competed at the Orange Coast Tournament over the weekend. Playing against Fullerton, Riverside, Long Beach and Saddleback, Julia Glukhovsky scored 14 goals in the four games and Stevie Sturges led the defense with six steals.
In the opener, the Pirates fell to Fullerton. Glukhovsky led the effort for VC with four gaols and a pair of assists while Ami Cruz and Abigail Humphry also found the inside of the cage. Parker Pratt handed out a pair of assists in the game.
Friday's night cap came against Riverside. Glukhovsky once again led the offense with seven goals with Cruz and Humphry also scoring for Ventura. Avery Monson and Audrey Hernandez handed out three and two assists, respectively. Monson led the defense with three steals while Cruz and Pratt grabbed two thefts each.
Stevie Sturges and Humphry grabbed three and two steals, respectively, in Saturday's opener against Long Beach, and Glukhovsky scored three times in the tournament finale against Saddleback. Humphry also scored against the Bobcats while Cruz, Sturges and Glukhovsky all totaled two steals each.
