Ventura College football coach Steve Mooshagian has announced 26 transfers from the 2021 Northern Conference champion Pirates, 13 of whom were mid-year transfers. Among the transfers and signees, 13 are moving on to NCAA Division I, five to NCAA Division II, four to NAIA, three to NCAA Division III, and one will play collegiately in Canada.
Many of these student athletes were at VC through the Covid-19 pandemic and continued working despite the cancelation of the 2020 Pirate football season. They persevered and helped Ventura to an undefeated regular season in 2021 and to the program's seventh SCFA Northern Conference title in the past nine seasons.
With the addition of these transfers, coach Mooshagian has now helped 284 student athletes move on to the four-year level in his eleven years leading the Pirates.
