VC freshman Vosean Crumbie (1) has earned SCFA Northern Conference and JC Athletic Bureau State Player of the Week honors for his performance Saturday against Santa Monica.

VC defensive back Vosean Crumbie ran wild over Santa Monica in the Pirates' record-breaking 76-21 victory Saturday night at the Sportsplex. The 6-foot-2, 195 pound freshman from Tallahassee, Fla. scored touchdowns on each of his first two punt returns, 75 and 70 yards, respectively, in the first quarter of the game. He totaled 176 all-purpose yards on a total of four kick returns in addition to his shut-down play at cornerback for the VC defense.
Crumbie has earned both the Southern California Football Association Northern Conference Special Teams/All-Purpose Player of the Week and JC Athletic Bureau State Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his efforts. The SCFA award is Crumbie's third this season.
