Ventura College football and head coach Steve Mooshagian are proud to update that an additional seven Pirates from 2014 inked scholarships or committed to play at the four-year level this summer. Combined with the 14 student athletes who signed on National Signing Day in February and nine mid-year transfers, 30 Pirates from the 2014 team will be moving on to four-year schools.
Five are transferring to NCAA Division I, 16 to NCAA Division II, three to NAIA Division I, four to NAIA Division II, and two to NCAA Division III. These 30 helped the Pirates to two straight bowl games and to the 2014 Northern Conference championship.
Coach Mooshagian has also indicated that there may be more transfers before fall practice begins.
In the past five years, the Pirates under Coach Mooshagian have matriculated 108 student athletes to the four-year level.
