Sabine Stork is entering her eighth year on the Pirates' volleyball coaching staff in 2021, including the 2020 season that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  In her first six years, she has helped lead steady improvement in the Pirate program, including the program's first Western State Conference titlle in 13 years in 2018 and playoff appearances in four of the past six seasons, including a victory in the opening round of the 2018 post-season, the first for the Pirates in over a decade.

The matriarch of one of the most recognizable family names in the volleyball world—as wife of USA Olympic Gold medalist and retired Cal State Northridge head's women's coach Jeff Stork, with two children competing collegiately and another playing professionally overseas—Sabine is a legendary figure in her own right. A standout player for Taft High School in the San Fernando Valley, she went on to win an NCAA National Championship as a member of the 1983 Cal State Northridge Women's Volleyball Team.

Sabine followed the culmination of her successful playing career with a headlong dive into coaching—and swiftly found another area in which to excel. She has coached for several renowned high school programs in her time, most notably Francis Parker of San Diego, where as Varsity Girls Head Coach in the late 1980's she won back-to-back CIF Championships.

She spent several seasons as the Head Varsity Girls Coach at Louisville High School, where she sent a plethora of graduates off to great collegiate success. Sabine is also one of the most valuable and treasured assistant coaches of the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy (LAVA), where she has worked for several years alongside Coach Lyans and captured a pair of Volleyball Festival National Championships.
