The VC volleyball team had another long trip Wednesday coming home with a victory in hand. The Pirates traveled to San Diego Mesa College and pulled out a razor-close 25-23, 26-24, 25-23 win over the Olympians, making the three-hour ride home a pleasant one. Brooklyn Wallet led the attack with 11 kills with a .450 hitting percentage while Morgan Gallagher recorded nine winners. Shantalle Ruiz had eight kills and Gabby Boado handed out 22 assists. Faith Mackie led the defense with 20 digs.
