VOLLEYBALL: Three members of the Ventura College volleyball team have received All-Western State Conference honors for the 2013 season, as voted by the conference coaches. Opposite hitter Kirra Drury was named second-team All-WSC recently while setter Dana Cleavenger and libero/setter Jasmine Perez received honorable mention All-WSC honors.
Drury, a freshman from St. Bonaventure High School led the Pirates in hitting percentage while finishing second in kills during the year. Ventura High School product Cleavenger led the team in assists. Meanwhile Perez, a sophomore fro Santa Paula High School, was team captain in 2013, leading the team in service aces and finishing second on the team in digs.
