Ventura Drops Home Decision Against Mt. SAC

The VC women's tennis team fell 6-3 Friday against Mt.San Antonio at the VC Tennis Center. Chandra Padua and Lola Tennison won a point in doubles for Ventura while Kira Branson and Dulce Contreras each won their singles matches.

The Pirates fell behind 2-1 in doubles play with the lone point coming on Tennison and Padua's 9-8 (7-5) nail-biter in the No. 2 match.

Branson also won a tight contest in No. 3 singles in a super tiebreaker, 6-2, 4-6 (10-8), while Contreras claimed her No. 5 singles match 6-2, 6-4.

Ventura plays a make-up Western State Conference match on Monday Feb. 24, hosting Santa Barbara at 2:00 pm.
