VC Falls in Conference Match Against Glendale

The VC women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Glendale Tuesday at the VC Tennis Center. Chrystelle Aguiar won her doubles match with Beryllyn Paz and also claimed her No. 5 singles match to win two of the Pirates' three points on the day.

Ventura (4-3, 2-3) dropped two of three doubles matches with Aguiar and Paz taking the No. 3 slot, 8-3.

In singles play, the Vaqueros clinched the match early with wins at Nos. 2, 1 and 3 before Aguiar won her No. 5 match 6-2, 6-3. Bella DeRosa followed with a win at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-3 to complete the scoring for the Pirates.

VC will next travel to Santa Monica on Thursday Feb. 29 for a make-up date with the Corsairs beginning at 1:00 pm.
