Talia Lieb and Nell Elaerts of the VC women's tennis team have been named CCCAA All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The pair is being honored following their run to the state quarterfinal run at The Ojai Tournament to close the 2023 season.
Lieb, a first-year Camarillo High School product, and Elaerts, a freshman from Spa, Belgium, were 13-7 overall on the season and 7-5 in dual matches as VC's No. 1 pair. They put in a run in the post season, advancing to the Western State Conference finals as the No. 3 seed in the draw. Later in April, they advanced to the third day of The Ojai, battling the eventual state champions in a tie-breaker thriller in the state quarterfinals.
VC was 6-8 overall on the season and qualified for the Southern California Regional Playoffs for the first time since 2012.
