Women's Tennis Falls at LA Mission

The VC women's tennis team traveled to San Fernando on Tuesday, dropping a 6-3 decision to Los Angeles Mission College. The doubles team of Elizabeth Nguyen and Tanya Thompson earned a point while Victoria Zegers and Nguyen each earned points in singles play for the Pirates (2-3, 1-3).

Nguyen and Thompson prevailed in their No. 2 doubles match 8-4, but Ventura trailed the Eagles after doubles play concluded.

Zegers won in no. 2 singles 6-1, 6-3 and Nguyen posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the No. 3 slot.

The Pirates will be back in action on Thursday Feb. 17 at Santa Monica.
