The VC women's tennis team fell at Santa Monica 7-2 Thursday in Western State Conference play. Allie De Marco earned a point for VC (5-9, 3-7*) with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles, and paired with Luciana Muheison for a victory in the No. 3 doubles match 8-4.
Megan Fleming fell in No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-3. Lea Meschke and Muheison dropped their Nos. 2 and 5 singles matches, respectively, each by a score of 6-2, 6-1.
The Pirates will next host Bakersfield on Tuesday March 28 at 2:00 pm at the VC Tennis Center.
