Pirate Women Make Long Drive For Victory

The VC women's tennis team made the long drive to Victorville Thursday and came home with a 9-0 win over host Victor Valley. The Pirates lost just one game on the day against the Rams, who competed without players in the Nos. 5 and 6 singles and No. 3 doubles slots, All Pirate wins by default.

In singles play, Bailey Sindle (No. 1), Lea Meschke (No. 2), Alyssa Powell (No. 3) and Allie De Marco (No. 4) all won in straight sets by identical love and love scores. Powell and Megan Fleming won in No. 2 doubles 8-0 while Sindle and Meschke triumphed in No. 1 doubles, 8-1.

Ventura (5-7, 3-6*) will host Cal Lutheran at 3:00 pm on Friday March 17 before hosting ANtelope Valley on Tuesday March 21.
