The VC women's tennis team fell 7-2 Thursday afternoon at Glendale College in a make-up match for a Feb. 7 rain-out. Allie De Marco figured in both points for the Pirates (4-4, 2-4*), coming from behind to win her No. 6 singles match, 5-7, 7-6 (1), 10-2 and teaming up with Luciana Muheison at No. 3 doubles, producing a 9-7 triumph.
Lea Meschke extended her opponent to three sets in No. 3 singles before falling and Alyssa Powell lost 6-4, 6-4 in No. 4 singles.
Ventura returns home on Tuesday March 7 to host these same Vaqueros at the VC Tennis Center. play is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm.
