Women's Tennis Drops Their Home Opener

The Ventura College women's tennis team dropped their home opener of the 2016 season with a 5-3 loss to De Anza. Jia Wiebe won her singles match as the Pirates No. 3 player. The Pirates claimed two singles matches and one doubles match.

Webbe was able to bring home a two set victory 6-2 and 6-2 for the Pirates (0-2). Her straight sets victory was the only VC win on the day as they claimed two forfeit victories as well on the day.

Ventura will return to the court on Saturday Feb. 13 for a pair of matches starting with a 9:00 am match against Fresno and then close the day with a 3:00 pm match against Chabot.Both matches will be part of the North/South Challenge hosted at Ventrua College.
