The Ventura College women's tennis team fell to visiting Cerritos College 7-2 Friday afternoon at the VC Tennis Center in a non-conference match. Bailey Sindle and Chelsea Peterson posted victories in their Nos. 4 and 6 singles matches, respectively, to score for the Pirates.
VC (5-5, 2-3) also came close to another point as Yannick Garcia and Sindle lost their No. 1 doubles match in a tie breaker, 9-8 (7-4).
Ventura will return to Western State Conference action on Tuesday March 10 at Antelope Valley College.
