Michael Munoz is entering his 12th year as an assistant coach for the Ventura College women's soccer in 2022. Born and raised in Oxnard, Munoz has been coaching soccer in Ventura County at high school, club, and collegiate levels since 2008.

Coach Mike has been a fantastic advocate for the VC soccer program over the past decade. One of his many strengths is emphasizing academic excellence in the classroom as well as outstanding performance n the field.  He has been a mainstay for the Pirates in their recruiting efforts during his time at VC and is also a strong contributor to the program's on-field teaching. Ventura has posted an overall record of 111-64-22 with Munoz on staff, a .619 winning percentage, with a 67-20-9 mark (.745) in Western State Conference play. He has was an integral part of VC's conference titles in 2011, 2012 and 2016. Head coach Steve Hoffman says that Mike has been a great mentor and role model to the players, coaches and support staff of Ventura College soccer. His sister, Sabrina Munoz, played at VC in 2009 Pirate team that went to the CCCAA State Final Four.

Munoz is a head coach and a senior scout for the California Youth Soccer Association’s Olympic Development Program where his teams have won national and regional ODP championships. He has also helped develop several players for the US National Youth Team program and he is currently the head coach for the Cal South 2007 Girls Olympic Development Program state team. Mike is also one of the top scouts for the Cal South Olympic Development Program where each year he identifies potential national youth team players for the Cal South program
