Ventura College alumna Guadalupe "Lupita" Magaña '13 enters her third season with the Pirate coaching staff in 2023.

Lupita wa a four-year standout at Santa Paula High School before donning the orange and black.  As a freshman in 2012, she earned first team All-Western State Conference honors and NSCAA All-West Region accolades in helping the Pirates to a WSC championship. VC went 14-5-2 that year with an unbeaten 9-0-1 slate in conference play.

Lupita's honors continued her sophomore season as she earned NSCAA All-American honors as well as All-West Region and All-WSC awards. She played in 40 games over her VC career, scoring seven goals and handing out 14 assists. Lupita earned her A.A. from Ventura College in Liberal Studies and Teaching.

Lupita followed her soccer dream and moved to South Carolina to attend Newberry College on a soccer scholarship. She started 34 games over the next two seasons, scoring three goals with six assists for the Wolves. Lupita Graduated from Newberry College in 2015 with a bachelor’s in science Degree.
