Pirate freshman Jacky Espinosa had a goal and an assist in Ventura's 2-2 draw at Cañada College Sunday.

Jasmin Ambriz and Jacky Espinosa combined for a pair of goals and a pair of assists as the Ventura College soccer team concluded its Bay Area road trip with a 2-2 draw at Cañada College in Redwood City Sunday. Ambriz netted a goal in the third minute with Espinosa's assist, and the pair switched roles in the 83rd minute for VC's second goal.
The Pirates allowed scores by the Colts in the 53rd and 88th minutes for the draw.
Goalie Aracely Castro had four saves on the day for Ventura (3-0-1).
The Pirates return home for a match against Rio Hondo on Tuesday Sept. 10. Kickoff with the Roadrunners at the Sportsplex is slated for 6:30 pm.
