Pirate Soccer Headed to CCCAA SoCal Playoffs

For the 22nd time in the past 23 years, the Ventura College women's soccer team has qualified for the post-season. VC (10-6-5) is seeded No. 12 in the CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs and will travel to No. 5 San Bernardino Valley (18-1-2) on Saturday Nov. 17 for a 2:00 pm match.

VC, unbeaten in its last eight games and with one loss in its last 11 starts, finished in second place in the Western State Conference North Division behind No. 3 Santa barbara. The Pirates and Vaqueros played to a 2-2 draw on Oct. 30.

San Bernardino Valley won the Pacific Coast Conference North Division, and their only loss came in their season opener against undefeated No. 2-seed Santiago Canyon. They did ,however, tied No. 14 San Diego Mesa twice in the past month.

This is the 22nd post-season appearance for the Pirates in the 23-year history of the program, all directed by head coach Steve Hoffman, who celebrated his and the program's 350th career victory this season.
