Ventura College women's soccer team dropped their regular season finale 2-1 to Santa Barbara City College. Kat Jordan scored the lone Pirate goal of the game while Josselyne Pereda assisted on the goal. Ventura goal keeper Amy Neidiffer collected five saves in the defeat.

Hosting the Vaqueros who were one spot ahead of the Pirates in third place in the Western State Conference north division, Ventura looked to end the season on a high note. Falling down early to SBCC Ventura applied continual pressure on the Vaquero goal taking 17 total shots and having 13 of those shots directed on goal.

VC was able to put one of their 13 shots into the back of the net when Pereda hit Jordan in the 50th minute and Jordan drove home a Pirate goal. It was the lone Pirate goal in the match which saw them unable to overcome the Vaqueros attack and stellar goaltending.

Ventura finished the season 5-13-2 overall and with a 4-6 conference record. They will finish in fourth place in the WSC-north division.
