Traveling to Oxnard College, the Pirates' women's soccer team defeated the Condors 4-1 Friday afternoon. In the victory Megan Henderson netted a hat trick with all her goals in the first 26 minutes of play. Josselyne Pereda put home the other Pirate goal of the match. VC took both matches against the Condors this season.

Fresh off a shutout victory in their last match, Ventura came out on the attack early and often against OC. Henderson scored in the 11th minute to put the Pirates out to an early advantage, and she was just getting warmed up. Pereda was up next as she netted the Pirates second goal in the 13th minute. In the 21st minute Henderson again drilled home a shot to net her second goal of the match, her fourth of the week, putting the Pirates ahead 3-0.

Henderson though had not yet finished her spectacular afternoon, however, as she completed the hat trick less than five minutes later. With her third goal of the game Henderson completed what has been a spectacular week of play with five goals in two games.

Rae Ritchie picked up a pair of assists in the match, while Hannah Greene collected one assist for the Pirate attack. For the second straight match Ventura was on the attack for the majority of the game with 16 total shots and 11 of those shots directed on goal. The constant offensive pressure from the Pirates made for a comfortable night for VC defenders and Pirate goal keeper Amy Neidiffer, who collected four saves in the victory.

Next up, Ventura will return home for a pair of matches. Los Angeles Pierce visits the VC Sportsplex on Tuesday Nov. 10 for a 6:00 pm match before the Pirates close out the season on Friday Nov. 13 with a 6:00 pm match against Santa Barbara.
